Start Free TrialThese terms and conditions ("Terms") document is an electronic record for the purposes of the Information Technology Act, 2000 ("IT Act") and the rules made thereunder, as amended from time to time, and the applicable provisions relating to electronic records in other statutes as amended by the IT Act. This electronic record is generated by a computer system and does not require a physical or electronic signature.
This is a legal and binding agreement between You, the user ("User" or "You" or "Your") of the Services (as defined below), and Kuku Technologies Limited (Formerly known as Kuku Technologies Private Limited and Mebigo Labs Private Limited), a company registered under the Companies Act, 2013 having its registered office at 07A101 and 07A102, WeWork, K Raheja Platinum, Plot No 710G Marol Naka, Mumbai 400 059, Maharashtra, India and corporate office at #3rd Floor, Urban Vault 262 Building, 16th Cross Road, HSR Sector 6 Layout, Bengaluru 560 102, Karnataka, India ("Company", "we", "our", "us") stating the Terms that govern Your use of the Services provided by us, through Filmy made available through website, application, software, and its APIs, data feeds, players, and other formats in which it is made available now or in the future ("Filmy").
By accessing or using these Services You/ Your parent/legal guardian (in case of minors) consent, agree and undertake to abide, be bound by and adhere to these Terms, our privacy policy (accessible at https://filmy-tv.com/privacy-policy) and our community guidelines (accessible at https://filmy-tv.com/community-guidelines) along with any other terms which govern our Services. If You do not agree to these Terms, You are not entitled to avail or use the Services and any use thereafter shall be unauthorized.
Company owns, operates and licenses Filmy and offers a personalized subscription to Filmy that allow Users to access audio-visual content available on Filmy ("Filmy Content") over the internet on internet-connected devices ("Services"). For the purpose of these Terms, 'content' shall mean and include the text, software, scripts, graphics, logos photos, images, sound recordings, audio, podcast, radio programs, songs, music compositions, mp3, mp4, long form videos, short form videos, movies, reels, HDshows, audio-visuals, digital comics, e-books, courses, interactive features and other multimedia entertainment materials, metadata, and other materials accessed on or through the Services.
The Service, including the Filmy Content, is regularly updated. We therefore do not guarantee that particular content will be available on Filmy at any given point in time.
Our Service may contain commercial content, such as branded content or sponsorship messaging, promos for Filmy Content or information about other Filmy goods or services.
Unless otherwise specified, the Services are available for individuals who have attained the age of majority, i.e., 18 years and above in the case of India. If You are below the relevant age of majority in Your jurisdiction, You may access the Filmy Services / app only under the supervision of a parent/guardian and in accordance with applicable law which enables a minor in Your jurisdiction to access such a service. However, in all cases, only persons of the age of majority are allowed to register an Account on the Services and will always be responsible for the operation of any such Account.
A User may avail the Services by creating a registered user account on Filmy to access certain features/ Filmy Content which may not be available without registration ("Account").
You confirm that all data and information You provide to Company and its affiliates for the creation of the Account ("Registration Information") is accurate, complete, and current, and You agree to keep it updated. You agree and undertake that the Account created by You shall not be a fake profile, i.e., created by using false information or impersonating another person on our Services by using their name, photo, claiming to be someone other than Yourself, or through any other means.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and proper use of Your Account ID and password and for all activity through Your Account. You shall notify Company promptly of any breach of confidentiality or unauthorized use of Your Account.
If any loss is caused by any unauthorized use of Your Account, You may be liable for the losses suffered by Company or others due to such unauthorized use. Company shall not be liable for any losses caused by any unauthorised use of Your Account.
Subscription: You may subscribe to a plan of Your choice out of the subscription plans offered by Filmy ("Subscription"). All of Filmy's Subscription plans can be viewed on Filmy's payment landing pages, which provide details on the plans, modes of payment and other Subscription related details. After the creation of Your Account and the Subscription, You will be able to access Filmy Content through the Filmy app or internet browser. Your Subscription will continue until terminated by You or by Filmy in accordance with these Terms.
We may change our Subscription plans and the price of our Service from time to time. In order to get the latest information on Subscription plans, please visit the Filmy TV app or browser.
Some Subscription plans may have differing conditions and limitations, which will be disclosed at Your sign-up or in other communications made available to You. You can find specific details regarding Your Subscription by clicking on 'account' or 'profile'.
Payment: To use the Service, You must provide us with one or more Payment Methods. Our Subscription plans include recurring payments (auto-pay mandate), providing You with continuous access to our Services until cancelled. Unless You cancel Your membership before Your billing date, You authorize us to charge the subscription fee for the next billing cycle to Your Payment Method (see Account Cancellation section below).
By purchasing a paid Subscription, You authorize Filmy (or its payment partner/app store) to accept payment through a debit card, credit card, internet banking, Unified Payment Interfaces or through, e-prepaid wallet or other payment method ("Payment Method") which are routed through our third-party payment service providers.
Trial Period: Company may offer a trial period for the Services at its discretion and may charge a verification or authorisation amount to confirm payment details. During the trial period, You may have limited access to Filmy Content. Trial period may be for a fixed duration or may continue until You consent to start a subscription.
If the trial period has a fixed duration and You do not cancel before the trial period ends, Your subscription will convert automatically to a paid plan and Your Payment Method will be charged on the calendar day after the trial period ends. If payment cannot be collected when due, we may suspend or downgrade Your access until payment is successful.
Plan Downgrade on Failed Auto-Renewal: Where a User is subscribed to a subscription plan offered by Filmy which the Company designates as eligible for this mechanism (an "Eligible Plan"), and the Company is unable to collect the renewal amount through the User's Payment Method for a period of 30 days on account of insufficient balance or any other Payment Method failure (such status referred to as "Auto-Pay Not Realised" or "ANR"), the User authorises the Company to attempt collection of progressively reduced renewal amounts corresponding to the Company's then-applicable lower-priced subscription plan tiers, through the existing auto-pay mandate.
The Company shall make periodic collection attempts until the auto-pay mandate is cancelled by the User on their respective Payment Method.
The User acknowledges and agrees that:
Renewal and Auto-pay: The Subscription will be auto-renewed through Your Payment Method upon expiry of Your trial period via the auto-pay mandate or unless You cancel Your auto-pay mandate. You may choose to not renew Your Subscription. For this, You must cancel Your Subscription by accessing Filmy -> Settings -> Subscription -> Cancel Subscription. Auto-pay mandates can only be cancelled by You through Your Payment Method/banking channels as creation/deletion of such mandates are individual and private banking transactions. Cancellation or revocation of an auto-pay mandate will not, by itself, affect or terminate any Subscription term that has already commenced.
To cancel auto-pay mandates, please reach out to Your Payment Method facilitator. For any further guidance on auto-pay cancellation, please raise a query on the Filmy chatbot.
Refunds: All purchases made to avail Filmy Subscription, including monthly, quarterly, and annual Subscriptions, are final and non-refundable, except as expressly provided below or as otherwise required under applicable law. Accordingly, if You cancel Your Subscription after an auto-pay deduction including after the expiry of Your trial period or auto-renewal after the expiry of Your current Subscription period, You will not be eligible for a refund of such amount.
To the extent permitted under applicable law, we do not provide refunds or credits for any partial Subscription period or for any unused Content, as the Filmy Content is deemed to have been delivered and made available to You upon activation of the applicable Subscription on Filmy.
Refunds may, however, be considered on a case-by-case basis in exceptional circumstances, including: (i) duplicate or erroneous transactions; or (ii) technical errors attributable to the Company resulting in the non-delivery of, or failure to activate a purchased Subscription or paid feature. Any refund shall remain subject to applicable law and the Company's assessment of the relevant circumstances.
Where a refund is approved, it will be processed to the original Payment Method within 5–7 working days, subject to the applicable payment processor or banking timelines. For any queries or clarifications regarding refunds, You may contact our customer support team at support@kukufm.com.
Cancellation: You may cancel Your Subscription at any time, and You will continue to have access to the Service through the end of Your current Subscription period. To cancel Your Subscription, please go to Filmy → Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription and follow the instructions thereafter. For more details or assistance, You may contact our customer support team via the in-app live chat feature for quick help, or email us at support@kukufm.com.
If You are on a paid Subscription, the cancellation will take effect the day after the last day of Your current Subscription period, after which You will be downgraded to the free version of Filmy. However, if You are on trial period and choose to cancel the same before the expiry of the trial period, Your access to Filmy will end immediately upon cancellation, and You will not continue to have access for the remainder of the trial period.
Filmy may offer a referral program under which existing users ("Referrers") can share a unique referral link or code provided in-app ("Referral") with non-registered users. If a person who is not already registered ("Referred User") accesses Filmy using that link or code, completes sign-up, and purchases a Subscription on their Android application downloaded through the Android Playstore only, the Referrer will be eligible to receive cashback, subject to these Terms at the then-current referral program rules.
You will earn a cashback for each successful Referral transaction. A Referral is considered successful only when the Referred User uses Referrer's referral link or code to install Filmy app and takes a Subscription of the android application. The Referred User's purchased Subscription plan should not be less than the premium Subscription offered on Filmy at the time of the Referral.
Upon each successful Referral, the Referrer will earn INR. 50 (Indian Rupees Fifty only). There is no overall limit to the amount a Referrer can earn from this Referral program.
A Referred User shall get a 50% (fifty percent) discount, or as may be specified on the Subscription payment page as per the discretion of the company, on the purchase of their first premium Subscription by using a Referral link/code. Please note that this discount is only applicable to the first transaction made by a Referred User on Filmy android application.
A Referred User shall not be eligible to get a refund in the event the subscription is availed on a discount through the use of a Referral link/code.
A Referrer can redeem their earnings directly into their bank account via UPI ID, which is mandatory for any benefit under the Referral Program. Each redemption will be processed using the Referrer's UPI ID after completing a one-time KYC process. The referral link/code may be updated by the system every three months. You will earn rewards only from users referred during the active period of the Referral program. Any cashback-related queries should be raised within 15(fifteen) days of the transaction.
Referrer is eligible for earnings only if Referred User has not previously transacted on Filmy. Both the Referrer and Referred User must use the latest version of Filmy to be eligible for earnings.
Referrer's earnings will remain in a pending state for 3 days from the date of earning. If the Referrer earns more than INR. 18,000 (Indian Rupees Eighteen Thousand only) in a financial year, tax will be deducted as per applicable laws. Redemption will be processed manually in such cases. Once the Referrer raises a request, our team will contact the Referrer to transfer the amount. You can withdraw Your cashback within three months from the date of earning. If You fail to do so, the reward will be forfeited.
For every redemption request, the minimum redemption amount should be INR.50 (Indian Rupees Fifty only). The redemption amount cannot be modified once initiated if the total eligible redemption exceeds INR.50 (Indian Rupees Fifty only). Partial redemption is not permitted. For instance, if a Referrer has earned INR.500 (Indian Rupees Five Hundred only), they must redeem the entire amount in a single transaction; redeeming only a portion for e.g., INR.200 (Indian Rupees Two Hundred only) will not be allowed.
Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or terminate any offers, promotions, or conditions without prior notice. Company may also deny cashback, revoke referral benefits, or suspend a user's access to Filmy in cases of suspected fraud or misuse. For the purposes of this clause, fraud includes, but is not limited to, situations where the Referrer and the Referred User share or use the same device, payment method, credentials, or network parameters. Participation in the Referral Program is subject to acceptance of, and compliance with, all applicable Terms and Conditions of Filmy.
Limited License: Company grants You a limited, non-exclusive, personal, non-commercial, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use Filmy and to view the Content only during the subsistence of Your Account, solely within territories where Company makes such Filmy Content lawfully available to You, and strictly in accordance with these Terms. No ownership or intellectual property right in any Content is transferred to You. A parent/legal guardian may create and manage an Account for a minor in accordance with these Terms and applicable law. Accounts and licenses are otherwise not transferable.
Company self-classifies Filmy content into U, U/A 7+, U/A 13+, U/A 16+, and A (18+) along with descriptive tags, which are displayed on Filmy. You should exercise Your full discretion in viewing the Filmy Content.
The Service and any content accessed through the Service is for Your personal and non-commercial use only and may not be shared with other individuals. You shall not use another's Account without permission.
Some features/content of the Service may be geo-restricted. You may access the Filmy Content only within the country in which You have established Your Account and only in geographic locations where we offer our Service and have licensed such content.
You must not access or use the Services, or any Filmy Content, by any mechanism or method that conceals or falsifies Your actual geographic location or otherwise circumvents our territorial controls. Prohibited methods include, the use of virtual private networks (VPNs), proxies, anonymizers, Tor, DNS or IP-spoofing, GPS/location spoofing, emulators, or modified device/network settings that misrepresent Your location. Service and content availability may vary by country/region due to licensing and legal requirements. We may detect and enforce territorial restrictions (including by reviewing IP address, network and device location settings, and similar signals) and may suspend or terminate access where circumvention is suspected or confirmed.
Filmy Content may be available for temporary download and offline viewing via Filmy app on certain supported mobile devices ("Offline Titles"). Offline Titles can only be accessed by Premium users. For Premium Users, there is no restriction on the number of devices, or downloads for Offline Titles. Limitations may apply, including restrictions on the time period within which You will need to begin viewing Offline Titles and how long the Offline Titles will remain accessible. If You do not log into Your Account on Filmy app for a continuous period of seven (7) days, You will be automatically logged out and the downloads will be removed from the downloads section in Your Account.
The quality of the display of the Filmy Content may vary from device to device, and may be affected by a variety of factors, such as Your location, the bandwidth available through and/or speed of Your Internet connection. Company shall not be liable for any quality variations faced by You for any such factors outside the control of Company. You are responsible for all Internet access charges. Please check with Your Internet provider for information on possible Internet data usage charges.
Company may temporarily suspend access to all or part of Filmy for maintenance, security, legal, operational, or business continuity reasons. Where practicable, Company will provide advance notice and will use reasonable efforts to restore access promptly.
Company may modify, remove, or discontinue any aspect, feature, or functionality of Filmy at any time (acting reasonably), and where practicable will provide notice.
Company shall not be liable for non-availability caused by events beyond its reasonable control (force majeure), including acts of God, war, riots, strikes, epidemics/pandemics, governmental orders, floods, fires, failures of public utilities, or satellite/network failures.
If You use any Filmy, or software component, You agree that it may automatically download and install updates (including bug fixes, enhanced functions, modules, or new versions) as part of Your use.
Company is the owner or valid and lawful licensee/assignee of all Filmy Content made available on Filmy. Company owns in entirety all intellectual property associated with the Company Services/ Filmy. No license or leave is granted by way of these Terms to You or anyone to exploit in any manner Company's intellectual property except for the limited license given to You under these Terms.
You must not remove, alter, bypass, avoid, obscure, interfere with, or circumvent any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary notices, any digital rights management (DRM) or content protection or access control measures (including territorial/geo-filtering and age-gating), or any watermarks applied to the Filmy Content.
Except as expressly permitted in these Terms or by Company in writing, You must not copy, download, capture, reproduce, duplicate, archive, distribute, upload, publish, modify, translate, broadcast, perform, display, sell, transmit, retransmit, frame, deep-link, make available, or otherwise exploit the Filmy Content or create derivative works from it.
Where Filmy provides a "download" or "save for offline use" button, You may use it only within Filmy, for personal, non-commercial, time-limited offline viewing, subject to DRM and any usage rules displayed to You.
You must not distribute any part of Filmy or its Content in any medium unless Company makes available the means for such distribution through functionality offered by Filmy (for example, the Filmy Embeddable Player or the explicit download/offline feature).
Company does not permit copyright infringing activities or infringement of intellectual property rights on the Services, and Company will remove all content if it is properly notified that such content infringes on another's intellectual property rights in accordance with an appropriate court order. Company reserves the right to remove Filmy Content, at its sole discretion, without prior notice.
You agree to use the Service, including all features and functionalities associated therewith, in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, or other restrictions on use of the service or content therein. Except as explicitly authorized by us, You agree not to:
We may terminate or restrict Your use of our Service if You violate these Terms or are engaged in illegal or fraudulent use of the Service. The Company reserves the right to decide whether Your conduct violates these Terms.
The Services may contain links or integrations to third-party websites, applications, services, content, features, payment processors, app stores, or social media plug-ins (collectively, "Third-Party Services"). Company does not control, endorse, monitor, or make any representations or warranties about any Third-Party Services, and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, legality, security, practices, or policies (including privacy, cookies, data collection, or marketing). Links are provided solely for convenience and do not imply endorsement or verification.
Your access to or use of any Third-Party Services (including any purchases, transactions, downloads, or account connections) is solely between You and the applicable third party and is subject to that third party's terms, conditions, and privacy policies. It is advised that You should review those terms and policies carefully before using any Third-Party Services.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, You agree that Company shall not be liable for any loss, damage, harm, malware, data breach, tracking, or other consequences arising from or related to Your use of any Third-Party Services. The Company may remove or disable access to any link or integration at any time without notice.
You understand and agree that the Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Company and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, "Company Entities") disclaim all warranties, conditions, and representations, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, completeness, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage and assume no responsibility for any (i) Errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content; (ii) Personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from Your access to and use of our services; (iii) Any unauthorized access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information and/or financial information stored therein (iv) Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from our services; (iv) Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like which may be transmitted to or through our services by any third party and/or (v) Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the services, Company does not warrant, endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any product or service advertised or offered by a third party
Without limiting the foregoing, Company does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components; that defects will be corrected; or that Content will be accurate or complete.
The Services may contain links to third-party websites/services. Company does not control or endorse, and is not responsible for, any third-party content, products, services, advertisements, or policies. Your dealings with third parties are solely between You and those third parties.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company Entities shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or use, arising out of or related to the Services or these Terms, whether based in warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or any other legal theory, whether or not Company is advised of the possibility of such damages.
You specifically acknowledge that Company shall not be liable for the Content or the defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of any third party and that the risk of harm or damage from the foregoing rests entirely with You.
The total aggregate liability of the Company Entities for all claims under any legal theory, shall be limited to the total subscription fees actually received by the Company from You during the three (3) month period directly prior to the occurrence of the initial claim.
The service is controlled and offered by the Company from its facilities in India., for India. The Company makes no representation that the service is appropriate or available for use in other locations.
Users who access or use the Services from other jurisdictions do so at their own volition and are responsible for compliance with local law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company Entities from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
Copyright Infringement: If You believe that Your copyright-protected work was posted on Company apps or Filmy, or otherwise hosted by Company, without authorization, You may submit a copyright infringement notification to our grievance officer. The notification must include the following:

Our process and timelines:
Acknowledgement: We will acknowledge receipt of Your grievance within 24 hours of receipt.
Tracking: We will issue a unique ticket/reference number so You can track Your complaint.
Disposal/Resolution: We will dispose of/resolve Your grievance within 7 days of receipt, or sooner where required by law.
We may contact You for additional information, we request You to respond promptly, failure to provide requested details may delay resolution.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights or obligations hereunder without Company's prior written consent. Company may assign these Terms (in whole or in part), including in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets, with notice to You where required by law.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, Privacy Policy, and Content Grievance Redressal Mechanism together with any other policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between You and Company regarding the Services and Filmy.
Severability: If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary (or severed), and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
No Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision by Company is not a waiver of such provision or any other provision.
Survival: Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, governing law/jurisdiction, assignment, and payment obligations will survive termination or expiry of these Terms.
Notifications: You hereby consent, agree and authorise Company to send notifications on SMS/RCS/Messages/Promotional/Information Messages
Change in Policy: Company reserves the right, at any time and from time to time, with or without prior notice (we will provide periodic notice of material changes), to update, revise, supplement, and otherwise modify these Terms and to impose new or additional rules, policies, terms, or conditions on Your use of the Services (collectively, "Revised Terms"). The Revised Terms will be posted at https://filmy-tv.com/terms-condition and will be effective immediately upon posting unless a later effective date is stated. We recommend that You periodically check that page for the Revised Terms. Your continued use of the Services after such posting constitutes Your acceptance of all Revised Terms. Nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to confer any third-party rights or benefits
